A Week Walking the Barber Bridge

Walking the Barber Bridge in Vero Beach has become a favorite pastime for many of us.  One of the many reasons are the many sites enjoyed during the exercise.

I thought it would be neat to document some of that over the period of a week.

Our first picture is the view towards the South and, I promise, none of these pictures have been photoshopped.

These are all representative of the natural beauty we are lucky enough to enjoy.

Second, is our local pilot on his morning shift.  This guy flies in pretty close to the bridge and will certainly wake you up.

Third, we have a view to the East displaying the some of the beautiful cloud formations that we are lucky enough to see.

Another view to the South showing a different mood of the Indian River.

It is always so exciting to see a family of dolphins, the thrill never goes away.

Royal Palm Pointe is a favorite hangout for Moms and kids having a blast in the fountains.

The Vero Beach Marina to the North.

Another favorite hangout at the foot of the bridge is Riverside Cafe.  This hangout is for everyone.

One last view to the South reflecting yet another mood.  This is when the river looks like glass.

I hope you enjoyed this "A Week Walking the Barber Bridge" nearly as much as I enjoy participating in it.

Thanks for reading,

Mike

Oslo Riverfront Conservation Area

Oslo Riverfront Conservation Area is one of the many "jewels" we have here in Indian River County.  Located right behind the Publix at U.S. 1 and Oslo, it is a couple of hundred acres of "how Florida used to be".  It is certainly worth a look.  We hiked for about 1 1/2 hours and had a great time.
